| The Past |
| Born in the autumn of 1985 Gillian was, like the progeny of many mixed-race
marriages, a beautiful baby. Her mother was American but her father was British so that was okay. Although he was Welsh.
Which isn't ideal. Gillian was the second child for her parents but as the first was a boy one has to wonder why they felt
the need to try again. |
| Gillian moved into the house she now calls home on her first birthday so
feels a great affinity for the place. It was from there that she began her dancing career at the tender age of two, studying
ballet, tap and jazz. She has pursued those arts ever since and can now crack walnuts with her thighs - an interesting party
trick and a useful form of self-defence. |
| During her later school years Gillian was a driving force of Student Council
and additionally went to Japanese school. Quite why the caucasion offspring of a caucasian American and a caucasian Welshman
thought that the land of the rising sun held answers for her one can only surmise but by her own admission Gillian now prepares
some mean sushi. A sceptic might suggest that "preparing sushi" means putting a fish on a plate or if being really fancy,
cutting its head off first. |
| Gillian claims to visit Britain almost every year but to clarify, her trips
have coincidentally become less frequent since she got to know me. I'm not paranoid...but I know you all think I am. Gillian
retains dual citizenship and identifies strongly with both countries. America may have The Grand Canyon, The Rockies and some
of the most varied and spectacular scenery in the world but the UK has McVities. Jaffa Cakes rule. Oh and we can make a cup
of tea. |
| In sophomore year of high school Gillian "discovered" Henry Cavill and this
led her to make a number of new friends in an online community. She cheesily says that it changed her life (for the better
one hopes) but those of us that got to know her would no doubt say that we were the true beneficiaries of that encounter.
Gillian says that she has made friends to last a lifetime. I for one hope that is true and not only because her mother has
told her that she is supposed to marry me. She did ! Honestly ! |
| The Present |
| These days Gillian can be found studying Film and Television Production at the
Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She is ridiculously single and one of the nicest people in the city. Gillian hopes to develop
her skills and that a major studio's gain will be the adult film industry's loss. With her sense of global connection she may
end up working in LA, New York, San Francisco, London or wherever the big bucks are. |
| The Future |
| Whatever the future holds, because of Gillian's unwaveringly good heart and
sweet demeanour she is certain to be a hit and we may all look forward to pointing to a future Academy Awards ceremony and
saying "I know her !" |
