| The Past |
| Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Kelly was raised in a household where every
penny had to be watched with care. Her sister was born almost exactly one calendar year after her to save on birthday parties
and the two of them shared a room. This allowed her parents to economise on names, clothing and other necessities by
essentially working as though they only had one daughter, whichever of the two girls happened to be in the room at the time. Kelly
was 15 before she was allowed to appear in public at the same time as her sister. |
| Raleigh proved to be a gun-toting, violent place to live, dominated by rough
gangs and creating an atmosphere of threat and intimidation. Thus the family moved to Georgia to escape the perils of North
Carolina. Ironically, at almost the exact same time they moved away, former neighbours reported that the area had suddenly become
much more pleasant and sociable and truly a pleasure to live in so after only two years absence the family returned to their home
state. Despite contacting many realtors that knew the family there were apparently NO properties for sale in the Raleigh area so
the family decamped to Cary, as a silent tribute to their favourite rubber-faced Saturday Night Live performer. |
| Sport featured strongly from an early age as Kelly became a regular on the soccer
pitch and also a valued member of the neighbourhood swim team. She must have been an excellent student because to this day her coach
says that he has never had a stroke like that in his swimming club since. Kelly's life was about to change however as she lost her
starting place on the swim team, an illness reduced her weight to little over 100 pounds, and she started stalking boys. |
| The Present |
| College now dominates Kelly's life. Kelly's mother is always remarking
how wonderful it is that Kelly always seems to be over at some boy's house studying when she calls...and some of those
study sessions have even been known to last through the night ! |
| College means learning and Kelly is in the midst of a wacky Math / French combination
that will qualify her perfectly for a career in, um, counting bottles of wine. She cares deeply for her cat "Batman" and misses the
family pets too. She lists her likes as food, food, Herny, food, movies, John Cusack and food. Her main
dislike she says is "uneducated people" although I am sure she really means "ill-educated" people...somebody should
have taught her the difference ! |
| The Future |
| Kelly has strong musical tendencies and the future may yet
revolve around these if the singing below (see Bonus) is any guide. Unfortunately Kelly's stumbling
block is that despite her excellent singing voice she is completely tone deaf and therefore unable to tell
if a tune or band has any merit whatsoever. Kelly is a fan of Hanson. |
| Kelly hopes to have three children but with her slim physique is already
realising the dangers inherent in dating broad-shouldered boy-friends. Kelly says that the way to overcome nerves is to
get lots of practice in ahead of time but I really don't know what she means. |
| Kelly has been a friend of mine for quite a long time now and in all that time
she has managed to bring a sunny, pixie-like disposition to every encounter we have had. With her combination of skills, charms
and winning approach to life she is sure to be a star...watch this space ! |
